Welcome to the Hibiscus Coast and Bays Sea Cadets

Embarking on a new voyage, the Hibiscus Coast and Bays Sea Cadets is intending to be the newest addition to the New Zealand Cadet Forces (NZCF). We are a youth organisation that provides a structured, discipline-based environment for young people aged 13–18 in the Hibiscus Coast and Bays area of Auckland.

Our mission is to foster personal development, leadership skills, and a sense of community among our cadets. We offer a unique and enriching experience, with a focus on naval customs, discipline, and camaraderie. Our cadets gain hands-on experience in a range of activities and training programmes, including seamanship, navigation, first aid, and community service.

As we navigate our journey towards becoming a fully recognised NZCF unit, we invite you to join us on this exciting adventure. Whether you’re a potential cadet, a parent, or a member of our community, your support and involvement are crucial to our success.

This dynamic image captures a group of individuals participating in what appears to be a team-building activity, possibly at dawn or dusk. They are clad in orange and blue life jackets and are in various stages of exiting a large blue and white boat onto the shore. Splashes of water rise around them as they make their way through the shallow water, with the city skyline silhouetted against the glowing sky in the background. The setting sun casts a warm golden light over the scene, contrasting with the urban silhouette that includes a distinctive tower, hinting at a coastal city's waterfront.

About Us

The photograph features two sailboats gliding over the water, with the foremost vessel captained by two sailors. The sailors are wearing bright yellow life jackets for safety and are attentively navigating their craft. The main focus is on the crew member in the stern, who holds the tiller extension and seems to be steering, while her companion looks on from the bow. Both have a backdrop of the coastline and a calm sea that stretches to the horizon. The sails of both boats are a striking combination of white and fluorescent green, catching the eye and standing out against the overcast sky. The expression on the faces of the sailors is one of concentration and confidence, embodying the essence of seamanship.

The image depicts two joyful individuals on a small sailing boat. The person on the left is wearing a vivid yellow life jacket and is laughing heartily with a snack in hand, radiating a sense of delight. The individual on the right, clad in a matching yellow life jacket and blue cap, is crouched down with a broad smile, looking towards the camera. Both are surrounded by the white interior of the boat, with ropes and sailing gear visible around them. The backdrop reveals a calm body of water and a sandy shoreline, with overcast skies above, suggesting a day of leisurely sailing and good spirits amongst companions.

The marker is a tall pillar with a triangular top, standing prominently against the twilight sky. The sky is painted with hues of orange and blue, with the sun just below the horizon, casting a warm glow that softly illuminates the clouds. The sea is calm, stretching into the horizon and reflecting the fading light. The figures are standing on rocky terrain, suggesting a coastal location.
